Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services
Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBHS) encompasses a variety of medical and therapeutic interventions intended to reduce mental or physical impairments and support individuals in reaching their highest level of functioning. These services are prescribed by a physician or other licensed clinician and are tailored to assist individuals in managing mental health disorders, substance use issues, or other behavioral health challenges.

IP

Individual Psychotherapy (IP)

Individual psychotherapy is a structured, collaborative, and confidential therapeutic process between a client and a licensed mental health professional. It focuses on addressing the client’s unique emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and interpersonal challenges through evidence-based approaches. Sessions typically involve exploring personal concerns, identifying maladaptive patterns of thinking or behavior, and developing healthier coping skills.

FP

Family Psychotherapy (FP)

Family psychotherapy is a structured therapeutic process that involves a licensed mental health professional working with two or more family members to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen family relationships. The focus is on the family system as a whole, recognizing that individual concerns often affect—and are affected by—family dynamics.

GP

Group Psychotherapy (GP)

Group psychotherapy is a structured therapeutic intervention facilitated by a licensed mental health professional in which multiple individuals participate together to address shared concerns, learn coping skills, and develop healthier patterns of behavior and interaction. The group setting provides opportunities for members to gain support, feedback, and encouragement from both the therapist and peers who may have similar experiences. 

MFGP

Multiple Family Group Psychotherapy (MFGP)

Multiple Family Group Psychotherapy is a structured therapeutic intervention that brings together several families, facilitated by a licensed mental health professional, to address shared concerns and strengthen family functioning. This format combines the benefits of group therapy with family therapy by allowing families to learn from one another, develop problem-solving skills, and practice healthier patterns of communication and interaction within a supportive environment.

SPD

Service Plan Development (SPD)

Service Plan Development is a collaborative process in which the client, family (when appropriate), and treatment team work together to create an individualized plan of care that addresses the client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. SPD ensures that services are person-centered, measurable, and aligned with recovery and overall well-being.

CM

Crisis Management (CM)

Crisis Management is an immediate, short-term intervention designed to provide support, stabilization, and safety to individuals and families experiencing acute psychological, emotional, or behavioral distress. CM focuses on reducing immediate risk, restoring a sense of control, and connecting clients with appropriate ongoing services and supports.

MM

Medication Management (MM)

Medication Management is a structured service provided by a licensed medical professional (e.g., psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, physician) that focuses on the safe and effective use of prescribed psychiatric medications as part of a client’s overall treatment plan. MM involves ongoing assessment, monitoring, and collaboration to ensure medications are achieving their intended therapeutic effects while minimizing side effects. 

PRS

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PRS) (Ages 0-21)

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services are structured, recovery-oriented interventions designed to help individuals with mental health challenges develop the skills, supports, and resources necessary to achieve maximum independence and community integration. PRS focuses on enhancing daily living skills, interpersonal relationships, self-management, and overall quality of life, with an emphasis on promoting recovery and resiliency.  

FS

Family Support (FS) (Ages 0-21)

Family Support services are designed to assist parents, caregivers, and family members in developing the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to support their loved one’s mental health, behavioral, and developmental needs. FS focuses on strengthening the family unit, enhancing caregiver competence, and promoting a supportive home environment that fosters recovery, stability, and resilience. 

B-MOD

Behavioral Modification (B-MOD) (Ages 0-21)

Behavioral Modification is a structured therapeutic intervention that focuses on identifying, understanding, and changing maladaptive behaviors through the application of learning principles. Rooted in behavioral psychology, B-MOD emphasizes the use of reinforcement, modeling, and skills training to increase desirable behaviors and decrease problematic or disruptive ones. This approach is goal-oriented, measurable, and tailored to the individual’s needs. 

Professional Development

Professional Development (Solely through MSE)

Clinical Supervision is a structured, professional process in which a qualified and experienced licensed clinician provides guidance, oversight, and support to counselors, therapists, and other mental health providers. The purpose of supervision is to ensure quality of care, support professional development, and maintain adherence to ethical, legal, and clinical standards. Clinical Supervision may occur individually or in group formats and typically includes case review, skills training, observation, and feedback. The process emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and ongoing learning to strengthen both client outcomes and professional competency.
